Mangools Review for 2024: Our Honest Opinion

We know how important SEO is. Some of you look for a comprehensive Mangools review to see if it fits the bill. Semrush and Ahrefs have taken the world by storm, quickly becoming go-to options for many demanding users. However, Mangools is up there, floating with the rest of the competition. Among these murky waters, you’ll find that Mangools holds its ground (no pun intended) and is pretty decent overall. Now, the question is whether it’s good for you. Yes, you, reader!

In today’s exhaustive Mangools test for 2024, we’ll examine this tool throughout. We’ll see how well its tools function and which benefits they provide. Our team will also report on its current pricing, customer support, and other vital factors to consider.

Before we proceed, you might want to take a quick detour and read our KWFinder review. It’s the most popular SEO tool from Mangools. Today, we’re reviewing the entire tool, so expect this test to be longer and more information-filled.

What Is Mangools?

Let’s start this Mangools test with a tiny overview of the service. Mangools emerged in 2014 intending to help people with search engine optimization through the implementation of the necessary tools. Which tools? The company sticks to five of them, including:

• KWFinder
• SERPChecker
• SERPWatcher
• LinkMiner
• SiteProfiler

Their names might be self-explanatory but either way, we’ll go over each and see what it represents. For now, it’s good to know that Mangools offers a comprehensive dashboard that’s like an SEO overview where you can access all of its tools.

Also, the service offers a free subscription as well, alas, with plenty of limits. All of this will be discussed in the review but just so you know, we’re focusing on the premium version of Mangools. We think premium SEO tools are better than their free alternatives by a long shot.

Mangools Review of Features & Tools

So, Mangools is a nice-looking platform with easy-to-access tools and their features. This is the cornerstone of our Mangools review because we’re examining its nitty-gritty to find out how well its tools perform for various SEO operations.

KWFinder

Our favorite Mangools tool is KWFinder. It’s an exquisite keyword research tool that you can use in two ways. First, you can search by using a keyword and selecting a language and location. In this case, KWFinder will come up with keyword-related info:

We used the keyword “SEO tools” and as you see, we have the following data:

• Keyword difficulty
• CPC and PPC
• Monthly search volume
• Search trend

We like the latter a lot, as it displays the “behavior” of the keyword over time. You can’t, however, examine older search trends, which you can do in Semrush. Mangools also lets you get keyword-related questions, which helps with FAQs in articles.

Interestingly, Mangools fetches these questions directly from Google, which we appreciate. If you click on Autocomplete, you’ll get keyword suggestions from another Google function. Autocomplete is Google’s prediction when you type in a search query – you’ve seen it.

One more thing to mention in this Mangools test is the Filter. We love that you can filter the results based on their CPC, keyword difficulty, PPC, number of words, and so on. In doing so, you can discover long-tail keywords that are sometimes easier to rank for.

For instance, set the number of words to at least 3 and see what you get. If you’re looking to invest in advertising, you can also play with PPC and CPC parameters. However, it’s worth noting that Mangool’s advertising research isn’t the best around.

Semrush does it better, offering Advertising History and more in-depth CPC/PPC data.

Domain Search

Domain Search is another KWFinder variant where you’ll scour the domain for its ranking keywords. Enter the domain address and you’ll see which keywords it ranks for. We like its Position metrics here but also this EV (Estimated Visits) info.

It displays the number of visits that each ranking key phrase generates – it’s an estimation, by the way. Mangools allows you to add keywords to the list and even export them to CSV for further SEO analysis. Quite a handy option.

Keyword Difficulty

When it comes to keyword difficulty, KWFinder isn’t the most accurate. We noticed its mild nature pretty quickly because the KD number never went over 75 or so. For example, the “SEO tools” keyword had a KD score of 68/100 in the US. In Semrush, it’s over 90.

“SEO tools” is a pretty broad term and incredibly hard to rank for given its dense competition. The same goes for the “best VPNs” phrase, which is maybe even harder to rank for. KWFinder uses one parameter to calculate the difficulty score – LPS (Link Profile Strength) of the URLs ranking in the 1st SERP.

For comparison, Semrush uses more – the number of referring domains, the ratio of follow/nofollow links, authority scores of referring domains, etc. This explains why it’s more accurate and provides a more “honest” representation of the actual difficulty.

SERPChecker

SERPChecker is an important tool to examine in our Mangools test. The company advertises it as a means of discovering the secret of success of your competitors in SERPs. But what does this feature do? Let us explain in English.

The tool analyzes the keyword and displays the search results you’ll get when searching for it. You’ll need to provide the tool with the keyword, select the country, and pick the platform – mobile or desktop. Once you click on “Analyze SERP”, you’ll get this data:

We can see the table with the search results based on the “SEO tools” keyword. In addition, you’ll find plenty of other information about each domain that appears in the SERP. Some of this information includes:

• LPS
• Domain Authority
• Page Authority
• Citation/Trust Flow
• Number of Facebook shares, and so on…

SERPChecker offers a plethora of handy information. For example, the citation flow metric (CF) determines the influence of the URL based on how many sites link to it. In comparison, trust flow (TF) marks the backlink quality, as the score is higher for sites whose referring domains are more “trustworthy.”

Moreover, SERPChecker has this WPR or World Popularity Rank metric, which shows you how popular the website is based on the estimated number of unique monthly visitors. Above all, SERPChecker provides some crucial info that has to do with you.

You’ll see how you’ll rank for the same keyword in comparison to the aforementioned websites. In addition, there’s the Snapshot tool, where you’ll see how the 1st SERP looks based on the provided keyword.

We found it interesting that SERPChecker lets you filter the metrics you want to see. For example, there’s the option to use Moz metrics instead of ones developed by Majestic. You can, as said, find out more about Facebook shares but we’d like to see Twitter here as well.

SERPWatcher

Moving on with the Mangools review for 2024, we have SERPWatcher. To be frank, this tool is practical and works well but features-wise, it lacks plenty. Comparing it to SE Ranking or Semrush would be unwise and unfair, as these two are incredibly powerful.

So, how does SERPWatcher work? First of all, it’s a rank tracker that can track position changes across a multitude of locations and devices (desktop/mobile).

You’ll have to provide these parameters along with the domain and the keywords you want to track.

It’s a bog-standard tool, as you see. You can keep an eye on rank changes, search volumes, and the average keyword position during a particular period. We like the inclusion of the “Best” metric, which displays the highest rank your keywords have achieved in a period.

Now, on the right-hand side, you’ll get the Performance Index and Visibility metrics. Top gainers and losers go with that, displaying the keywords whose rankings either increased or dwindled the most. If you scroll down a bit, you’ll see the position flow as well.

It tells you how many of the tracked keywords went up or down in ranking, and how many have remained unchanged. Lastly in this Mangools review, SERPWatcher provides you with the position distribution over time. We must say SERPWatcher isn’t impressive.

Think about the top-rated rank trackers and you’ll see why. Semrush, for instance, offers cannibalization reports, which you won’t find here. The service also displays which keywords have a positive and negative impact on the overall domain ranking.

While Mangools and Semrush update their ranking info daily, Semrush is superior in the info delivery compartment. Everything just looks and flows better, as Semrush comes with a heap of data that Mangools can’t provide. More demanding users will notice this as well.

LinkMiner

LinkMiner is focused on finding powerful backlinks and improving your overall backlink profile. It’s not even close to some of the best options but we were satisfied with how it worked in our Mangools test. Again, everything begins with the domain address.

From here, you can find all of its backlinks or aim only for new or lost backlinks. Its backlink analysis is decent – more so because it uses the Majestic SEO API rather than its proprietary index, which we suspect wouldn’t be so great.

Each backlink is backed by a few bits of information we already discussed in the SERPChecker part. LinkMiner lets you apply certain filters, such as follow/nofollow links and active/deleted links, which we found handy in certain situations.

Advanced filters are there too, and thus, you can explore referring domains according to their:

• Link strength
• WPR
• External links
• Trust Flow/Citation Flow
• Source URL
• Target Anchor
• Target HREF

On the right side, you’ll see the website preview by clicking on a referring domain of your choice. It’ll display the page where the link to your website is, which is unique and not found in more powerful SEO tools. What about its backlink database?

Well, it’s not the largest and currently has around 9 trillion links. If we compare it to Ahrefs’ 15 trillion, Mangools indeed lacks plenty. But hey, Ahrefs is a capable backlink analysis tool – perhaps even more so than Semrush, so the comparison is a bit unfair.

Other than that, LinkMiner won’t exclude data like total referring domains, active backlinks, and referring IPs. However, it’s worth noting that Semrush and SE Ranking usually display bigger numbers for identical sites, likely as a result of their larger backlink databases.

SiteProfiler

We have to go over SiteProfiler as one of the best tools of Mangools. We love how it looks and feels, as well as the information it provides. Essentially, you’ll get the most important information about the domain on one page – we simply love this!

You can see information like page authority, citation/trust flow, domain authority, and so on. Keep in mind that Mangools won’t come up with new information, never-before-seen in this Mangools review. Think of this as a nifty little overview of a particular domain.

We’ve seen this in Semrush and its Domain Overview tool, for instance. If you scroll down, you’ll discover Facebook shares, active backlinks, total backlinks, dofollow links ratio, the top referring domains, anchor texts, etc, etc.

Try SiteProfil

This tab also displays your organic competitors and is pretty accurate, unlike some other SEO tools we tested. Our website’s competitors are accurate in Mangools and they’re VPN-based sites, not Netflix or some other non-related domains we’ve seen in Surfer SEO.

The Site Profiler tool is handy but offers nothing to be excited about and just repeats the information you can get in other Mangools tools – for the most part, at least.

Mangools Ease of Use & Interface

So far in this review of Mangools, we’ve pretty much covered all of the tool’s features. We went multiple times through its interface simply by testing all of the tools. Frankly, Mangools is among the best-looking SEO tools along with SE Ranking and Ubersuggest.

Its aesthetics are awesome and the tool vividly displays the most relevant information. We’d like to see more graphs, however, but the information you get likely won’t fit very well in that format. After all, Semrush’s more insightful information requires something like this.

Mangools uses different color schemes for each tool to prevent confusion. Also, it works fairly quickly for tracking your keyword ranking and analyzing bulk keywords.

Mangools lists all of its tools in the grey bar at the top, allowing each to be accessed with a click.

The mobile interface looks identical. However, it’s a bit crammed even when using a brick-like phone like Samsung’s S Ultra series. The experience is better in landscape mode or when using a tablet but bear in mind it’s not as smooth as on a laptop or desktop PC.

Mangools Browser Extension

The Mangools browser extension was one of our favorite features in this test. We could say it’s a crucial selling point because it’s intuitive and capable.

First, it’s free to download for Chrome and Firefox. Second, it displays TONS of information when you log in.

For instance, the Overview tab comes with information about the site’s domain/page authority scores, referring IPs, Facebook shares, and so on. You can then cycle through menus, such as Keywords, Backlinks, On-Page SEO, and Rank Tracking.

The most interesting out of all is the On-Page SEO menu, which, surprisingly, you won’t find in Mangools otherwise. This menu shows you how optimized the page is and some basic info. You’ll find the number of words, title, description, and even robots.

Moreover, this tool can also analyze meta tags, headings, and page structure. Our favorite option is to perform a page speed test and find out more about the page’s loading times. Mangools will report on the average loading time, as well as the performance score.

We tested Mangools’ own page about the browser extension only to get the performance score 64/100 – they better fix that! Speaking of that, if you scroll down, the Page Speed menu provides you with fixes that you need to apply to better optimize the page.

However, highlighted in green are the good things your page possesses. So you’re not only criticized but also praised for doing something right. We think you should give this extension a shot. It’s easily among the best features in our Mangools test for 2024.

Pricing Analysis: How Much Is Mangools?

If you’re in the market for an affordable SEO tool, is Mangools going to fit the bill? Well, let’s analyze its pricing before concluding this in-depth Mangools review.

First of all, the tool offers two types of plans – annual and monthly. Annual plans are paid upfront.

They’re cheaper in the long run, as they’re discounted by 35%. Look at the Entry plan at only $19.90 per month. It’s insanely affordable compared to, let’s say, Semrush and SE Ranking, even though SE Ranking is already inexpensive. This plan is a bit lacking, to be frank.

Users get only 25 daily keyword lookups and can track just 1 domain. Plus, there are no extra user seats and you can’t buy them if you need them. The Basic plan makes things better with 100 keyword lookups, 200 keyword suggestions per search, and unlimited tracked domains.

This plan, however, also lacks additional user seats. Now, the Premium plan at $44.90 a month is pretty good. You get 500 keyword lookups, unlimited competitor keywords per search, and even 3 extra seats with the option to buy more for $12/seat.

The downside is that you’re already approaching the price of SE Ranking, which is far better. Finally, there’s the Agency plan with 5 extra seats that ramps up the majority of features to unlimited. Refer to the screenshot above for more info.

The Agency plan is undoubtedly the most powerful but whether you need it is up to you. Mangools is an affordable SEO tool and we think it should be kept like that. Therefore, we recommend the Basic or Premium plans that are still inexpensive.

If you’re thinking about the Premium plan, consider SE Ranking’s Essential plan as well, as it costs exactly $44/mo for the annual variant. In comparison, it can track 750, while Mangools can track 500 keywords daily.

Free Trial and Refund Policy

Mangools offers a free plan that you can use simply by registering. This plan is extremely limited, allowing for a couple of keyword lookups and searches in other tools. The silver lining is a Free+ plan that activates immediately on your first registration.

It’s a beefed-up version of the standard free plan, with more keyword lookups and a few other tidbits. Mangools converted its previous free trial into a 10-day Free+ plan with more generous limits to help you experience the tool better.

Once the Free+ period expires, you’re reverted to the standard free plan we described. When it comes to a money-back guarantee, Mangools isn’t very generous as a result of the Free+ plan, so you have 48 hours to get your money back if you’re dissatisfied.

However, with 10 days + 48 hours, you get 12 days to experience Mangools and see what it offers. That’s enough in our book. If not, you can always seek free SEO tools and use them forever without paying a penny. They’re not as good, however.

Customer Support of Mangools

Mangools’ magnitude is much smaller than SE Ranking, Semrush, or Ahrefs. However, the company’s customer support is no less impressive. Users can get in touch through the live chat widget and instantly get a response from the support team.

If you’re too shy to chat, Mangools offers support through email, which will be slower but still helpful. We like how transparent and friendly the company is, even displaying its location in Slovakia with a picturesque sunset from this splendid city.

Of course, the company offers other information to help you out. There’s a Blog section where you’ll learn more about SEO and how to use Mangools’ tools. FAQs and how-to guides are abundant and there’s no shortage of handy articles.

In many cases, you don’t need to contact the support team. Everything you need will be on the site, as long as you’re not lazy and are willing to give it a read.

Mangools Test: The Conclusion

As a whole, Mangools is a capable, reliable, and intuitive SEO tool. We can’t say anything particularly bad about it because everything it offers works well. There’s one thing we must clarify and that is Mangools’ target audience. If you’ve been using Semrush, it’s not for you.

Mangools is a less “premium” tool that lacks features like Site/On-Page Audits, Link-Building, Content Marketing, and so on. You’ll immediately notice how “empty” it feels when pinned against two SEO tools like Semrush and SE Ranking.

Is that a bad thing? No.

If you can’t afford these two, Mangools is pretty capable as long as your expectations are at bay. For as low as $20 or so a month, you can’t expect God knows what. But for this money, you’re not getting a bad or unreliable SEO tool. Mangools is excellent at this price.

Think about its great KWFinder tool. Think about one of the best SEO browser extensions out there. Finally, think about how intuitive and simple it is to set up and use. All of these factors make Mangools a tool worth testing out. Oh, and there’s a free plan we mentioned briefly.

It allows you to use all the tools we went over in our Mangools review but in a limited scope. So, what would be our conclusion? Here it is. You should get Mangools if you don’t intend to spend a heap of money on an SEO tool. In this case, the Basic plan should be enough.

If you want the Premium plan, consider SE Ranking’s Essential plan instead because it’s better. We don’t need to say that Semrush is better than both because you likely can’t afford it if you’re shopping for an inexpensive SEO tool.
